Every lookup that returns data, and every 404 a lookup returns, including not_supported, not_registrable and domain_reserved. Server errors (5xx) and rejected requests (400, 401, 403, 422, 429) are free.

A follow=true lookup counts once, a bulk call bills each domain on these same terms, and /tlds and /ping never count. Usage resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).

We email you at 75% usage and again when the quota hits 100%, so you have time to react. Requests then return 429 with error: "quota_exceeded" until the quota resets on the 1st of the month (UTC).

There is no overage billing and no surprise charges. Upgrade your plan in the dashboard if you need more, and the new limit applies immediately.
