Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RDAP API service ("Service") provided by RDAP API ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RDAP API provides a REST API for querying domain registration data using the RDAP protocol. The Service includes a free lookup tool and paid subscription plans with API access.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscription and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • All plans include a 7-day free trial.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas.
  • Resell API access without prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to harvest personal data in violation of applicable privacy laws.

6. Rate Limits and Quotas

Each plan has defined rate limits and monthly request quotas. Exceeding these limits will result in temporary request rejection (HTTP 429). We reserve the right to suspend accounts that repeatedly abuse rate limits.

7. Data Accuracy

RDAP data is sourced from third-party registries. We normalize and cache responses but do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect the Service. We are not liable for downtime or data loss.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your API key will be revoked and access will cease immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RDAP API shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
